Because most of the information I’ve read on Misophonia seems to concentrate on the ‘mouth music’ type trigger sounds (eating, chewing, breathing, etc.)

That’s really interesting (and actually quite reassuring) to know!
Because the overwhelming majority of material I’ve read on misophonia concentrates on what my parents used to call “Mouth Music” (usually food- or breathing-related sounds). So even the little information there is, just doesn’t seem to mention the trigger sound that plagues me.…[Read more]

I cope by using constant low-level (45dB) background noise throughout my home. Radio static, brownian noise on a loop, the app Rain Rain. It cuts out about 80-90% of my trigger sounds.
But I’m here to look for ways to cope with or deal with the 10-20% of trigger sounds that are loud enough to cut through my protective cocoon of good sound?
